In August 2010, Pastor and Evangelist Gary Green applied for and obtained federal tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The corporation was established under the name Living Waters of High Point. One of the stated purposes of the corporation, as set forth in the Articles of Incorporation, Article V(b)(8), was to establish Bible Training Schools or Schools of Theology.

Pastor Green’s vision in establishing these articles was that such schools would be operated within the Living Waters of High Point facility and used to equip believers through the systematic study of the Scriptures. In 2017, Pastor Green further expanded this vision by applying for and obtaining an Assumed Business Name Certificate pursuant to NCGS §66-71.5, under the name Purpose In The Vine Ministries. The purpose of this ministry was to assist in the establishment of Bible colleges throughout the world.

Before this vision could be fully realized, Pastor Gary Green went home to be with the Lord. Upon his passing, responsibility for the corporation was transferred to Richard Waddell. Pastor Green and Richard Waddell had ministered together internationally, including missions work in Peru, and both attended STC Bible College.

Richard Waddell has served faithfully in ministry for many years, including 13 years as an Associate Pastor and 7 years as a Senior Pastor. He has preached and taught the Word of God in more than seven countries. Through his ministry experience and his education at STC Bible College, Richard developed a clear vision to establish a Bible college that would be accessible to anyone with a desire to learn the Scriptures.

The educational model revealed through STC Bible College emphasized spiritual formation and biblical grounding rather than purely intellectual pursuit. By the grace of God, Agape Bible College seeks to follow this same God-given mandate.

Agape Bible College operates as a subsidiary of Living Waters of High Point.

The primary emphasis of Agape Bible College is the teaching of the Holy Scriptures. While related studies and the spoken Word of God are valued, the central mission of the College is to familiarize students with the written Word of God and to equip them for spiritual growth and ministry through disciplined biblical study.

The instructional materials used by Agape Bible College have been written and compiled into structured Study Guides by Pete Bumgarner and Jane Withers. These materials provide a comprehensive outline of the entire Bible, along with numerous topical teachings derived directly from Scripture.

As President of Agape Bible College, I extend a heartfelt welcome to you. The study of Scripture is unlike any other pursuit. While knowledge can be gained through the study of many subjects, the Word of God is holy, and therefore the study of His Word is the greatest pursuit an individual can undertake.
